Llanelli Fire Station
The Llanelli station area has a population of approximately 54,495. Llanelli is the largest town in Carmarthenshire and sits on the Loughor Estuary; it also supports the communities of Burry Port and Llangennech.
There are 14 Wholetime personnel located at Llanelli, supported by an On-call element of 18 firefighters. The main risks for Llanelli are heavy industry such as TATA steel at Trostre, Calsonic at Felinfoel,a hospital, schools and retail shopping centres.
A community task force team has been set up at Llanelli station to assist with community and partnership work. These regularly liaise with police officers and community partners and agencies to assist them in making the communities of Llanelli a safer place to live, work and visit needed.
